Brian Rose for Mayor

In the odd years Municipal Elections are held in St Paul, and this year we have 4 St Paul Public School Board of Education Seats, 3 regular seats plus one special election, and the Mayor’s Office too.

From the inauguration of Mayor Melvin Carter III in 2017 he has been running for re-election in 2021.  He gave children $50 savings accounts to make sure their parents voted for him in 2021 and has made sure bike lanes had priority over parking in front of mom & pop small businesses and he has done very little to earn re-election. And has been an empty suit when it has come to thwarting crime and creating job opportunities in St Paul. The only job opportunities are those tied to his cronies’ needs and he actively stopped the Police Chief of St Paul from hiring more officers and equipment as he thought their arrests were based on racist policies. Our city has hemorrhaged jobs and has forced residents to leave the city for a safer place to work and raise their children.

There is a non-partisan Independent Candidate for Mayor named Brian Rose.  He is the model of a Mayor needed by the Citizens of St Paul.

Meet Brian Rose For Mayor

Brian Rose was a financial genius and caught up in the life of making money in the Stock Market for a firm that demanded more of his time. He started to realize he was missing out on enjoying his life while earning a high salary he couldn’t stop and enjoy once in awhile.

He had to take a break from that life before it consumed him. So he quit his job and decided to take some time off and decide what he was going to do with his life. Like a lot of people today he found he had no idea what to do.  He had something most unemployed people do not have, vast amounts of money to keep him buoyed.  In the course of finding his way forward he embraced something he always wanted to do which was starting up a business to broadcast, to do a podcast and an interview show which has launched him to a place to help others. He has now declared his intentions to run for Mayor of the City he loves, while putting a hold on his current wealth producing endeavors to lead and help others succeed.

Brian is originally from San Diego California. His parents divorced when he was young and his mother decided to move and start up new in another city far away.  It was tough adjusting to the new city at the age of 15 moving away from everything he had known.

Since the late 1980’s he has grown to love this new city and has made his home there, starting a family and hopes to be buried there as well.

The current Mayor has shown how inept his policies are. Implementing what is called Low Traffic Neighborhoods (LTNs) without asking those in a residential area if they wanted that for their neighborhood. Building traffic snarling constrictions on roads and creating congestion where there shouldn’t be any.  This is why Brian has introduced Transform 2021 Goals.

There’s a lot of Firsts here. Not all of them may work on the first try, but with hard work and including everyone in on the solution to problems the City can be a better place to Work, Learn, Play, and Raise a Family safely and succeed well into the future.

Now the Bad News…

Brian Rose is Running for Mayor of London England. I, Publius Jr, had to omit above the word “London” out of much of Brian Rose’s information from his website, like Transform London 2021. It would be great to have some person like Brian Rose to run for the Mayor’s Office of the City of St Paul, Minnesota.

Today as you read this article, Voters in London, England may have already voted for Mayor. Hopefully a majority of them have decided to vote for Brian Rose a San Diego California kid who fell in love with the city his mom brought him to.  The American who became a British Citizen in 2007.

The business he built is called London Real, perhaps you’ve heard of it? No? It produced the documentary called, “Plandemic.” Yeah that one.  London Real has been persistent in asking if I want to learn from Brian on how to succeed in a business I’ve always wanted to start, or start a podcast.

While some of his solutions don’t fit into the smaller government model We Republicans advocate here in St Paul, there are some common ground areas to champion:

  • Family First
  • Get St Paul Back to Work
  • Make St Paul Safe (imagine having 10,000 cops in St Paul Police Department)
  • Freedom of Speech (no online censorship)
  • Education First (we need a system that puts kids’ learning before unions)
  • Transportation First (Bus & LRT Stations that have restrooms and vendors in them and protect people from the snow)
  • Plow First (If it snowed a lot in London, Brian would have Snow plowing of side streets & priority streets while the snow is falling)
  • NO LTNs (sadly St Paul Bike Lobbyists want these)
  • The Great Celebration sounds like fun. (Maybe St Paul & London can be sister cities)

The MrGunsnGear Youtube channel posted this video to explain the Joe Biden plan to limit your 2nd Amendment rights.  Basically Joe wants to transform you from being a Law Abiding Gunowner into a Felon overnight.

The information was from the Joe Biden Campaign website, and the ATF website.

“The Case…” of Lee Strobel, Defender of Christianity

Some of the greatest Evangelists of the 20th and 21st Centuries have been people who denied the existence of Jesus Christ for the first part of their lives.  Many come to mind and to name a few D James Kennedy, Josh McDowell, CS Lewis, and Lee Strobel.

Lee Strobel lays out why you should consider a variety of subjects in Christianity.  His books are entitled, “The Case For ____,” (fill in the blank with facets of Christianity):

You will start to notice a theme in all of these books they sound like titles to court cases, which is on purpose as in another life Lee Strobel was a lawyer and an award winning legal journalist.  These two professions seem to be under fire these days for their lack of honesty and truth.

Lee Strobel is one of many Christian Apologists. An apologist is not someone who apologizes but rather they argue in defense of a doctrine, policy, or institution.  What better person to defend the faith than a lawyer and to promote it like a journalist.

Conversion Story: The Case for Christ

Prior to 1981 Lee Strobel had earned his journalism degree from the University of Missouri and his Master of Studies in Law at Yale University.  He was a investigative journalist for number of newspapers and wrote for the Chicago Tribune for 14 years and was the legal editor.  In 1980 he won an award for his work on the case of the infamous Ford Pinto, while investigating one of the more important cases which was the basis for the book, The Case for Christ which was a story he would write decades later as his conversion story.

It’s been some time since I, Publius Jr, read it so there’s a feature film that came out last year of the same name as the book, but I stumbled across a documentary that’s free to watch…so I watched it for this unique conversion story The Case for Christ Documentary.

It is a simple story of two people who got married who didn’t have a church life. His wife, Leslie, was an agnostic, and Lee was an atheist the kind who is negative to people who are born-again Christians.  So when his wife started to go to church he reacted as it was a possible deal breaker. Over time Lee saw positive traits of his wife in her continued attendance at church.  She compelled him, more like dragged him to church. He brought his legal notebook with him and took notes in his attempt at debunking Christianity.

After a few trips to church with his wife he wasn’t “converted,” but still compelled to get to the root of this cult as he was convinced it was, so he kept attending.

Being an award winning legal journalist and legal editor for one of the most respected newspapers in America, he made this into an investigative quest.  He found experts on the subject and asked them questions and with every answer there was a question that didn’t occur to him when he heard them. (From my one class in high school in journalism they instruct reporters to set aside large spaces between questions in order to write down those unseen questions–Publius Jr).  All his books are written in this fashion. A listing of experts in their field, and a Q & A of the evidence.

Slowly it dawned on Lee that the Gospels and the New Testament books were written by either eye witnesses or by scholars who queried the thousands of people who had met Jesus Christ. Science by the way starts with observations by regular people. In legal issues, observations and eye witnesses accounts are the first steps of legal issues.  So his two professions were pointing him to a truth, is Jesus Christ who he claimed to be and did he rise from the dead after being crucified by an antagonistic occupational force called the Romans?

The answer overwhelmingly is yes, Jesus did die and rise up again in bodily form.

The Case For More Books with Answers

I, Publius Jr, have to admit I haven’t read all his books but it was about the time he wrote the Case for the Real Jesus where I entered a new season of my life. I had forgiven someone who really wronged me from my days in the Army. I didn’t do it face to face, but I told it to God and it was God’s turn to deal with it. My eyes were opened and Lee Strobel’s books were there at the library. I read the Cases for Christ, Faith, Creator, and the Real Jesus.  I enjoyed them all and I can’t say I’m able to be a celebrity apologist like him or maybe Sean McDowell, but I have more ammunition to work with.  I’m an aerospace engineer by degree, and throughout my time in college I met a lot of scientists and engineering students who were atheists and it is hard to be among people who don’t believe as you do.  Lee Strobel has found it takes more faith to believe in evolution and how life came from nothing than to believe a loving Creator who would send his Son to die for all the things we do that drive us into misery. All that is forgotten when you believe in Jesus.  As a trained Rocket Scientist I can’t explain some of the things I’ve experienced as a believer in Jesus.  I find I have more questions after I hear and discover the answers.

In the end of the documentary Lee Strobel asks 3 things of believers, skeptics, and non-believers who are looking into the subject of Jesus Christ:

  1. Make it a Front burner issue in your life.
  2. Keep an Open Mind and go where the evidence takes you even if it takes you to the uncomfortable conclusion that Jesus Christ is who he said he was.
  3. Reach a verdict from the evidence in the Case for Christ

Conversion stories are some of the most compelling testimonies I’ve heard and they give new perspectives on Christianity. I had to write this article because sometime ago I asked Lee Strobel on his twitter account about a good perspective on Islam and how to offer Christianity to Muslims.  He suggested reading the book by Nabeel Qureshi, “Seeking Allah Finding Jesus,” a conversion story of his.  So that’s the next article for Christians in American History Month.  This website is not associated with Lee Strobel nor do we earn any money from directing you via links to purchase his books, the links go to Amazon but you can find them at other bookstores too. ~~ Publius Jr

St. Paul Republicans Urge Civil Disobedience Against Gov. Walz and His Unconstitutional Orders

Thousands of businesses have closed in Minnesota.  Small businesses. Businesses owned by families who give more than they take and work for a crust of bread and such simply to feed and clothe their children, put a roof over their heads, keep them warm, and raise them well.

Consider the day of an average small business owner. They are up at the crack of dawn. They feed their kids and drive them to school before their 14 hour day gets under way. On average, they earn less an hour than the average Walmart worker. From the minute their feet hit the floor to the minute they fall asleep exhausted, they are on the move.

And they fit in holiday concerts and teacher’s conferences and taking care of their employees and shovelling the snow, grocery shopping and cooking for their families, donating to charities, feeding the homeless, and going to church.

They are called to serve others. Their motivation is larger than themselves. They create jobs, provide the services that make life easier for others, create community and space for relationships. They chose to open their own business because they know they have something more to offer, something better to offer, that they have a gift they can share with the world, with Minnesota, to make it a better place. They answered God’s call on their lives for the service of others.

Folks like Governor Walz, who have never built anything of value in their lives, who never sacrificed or struggled or did the really hard work that built this state or this nation, are always on the front lines of destroying the people who have.

He’s a corrupt bureaucrat, on the public dole, who couldn’t wield power honestly and fairly in his classroom.  It is no surprise that he has so violently abused his power as the Governor of a Dominion state.

Only now, his classroom is Minnesota. The small business owners who are more successful in their quiet lives than he ever was in his public life, the people who actually win their achievements fairly and honestly, are like the scrappy, strong, popular, resourceful students he hated and treated unfairly and psychologically abused in his classroom. He oppressed them because he knew he could never be as happy as them, as free as them, as smart as them, as successful as them.

Walz has decided to destroy Minnesota’s small businesses, not because of Covid, but because their perserverance, their success, their selfmade achievements have always been out of his reach. This is the vengeance of a 300 pound man who could never keep up, let alone tie his own shoes. Now he has the power, and has decided that Minnesota is going to pay for a lifetime of students, women, neighbors, and friends not taking him as seriously as he takes himself.

And his delusional self really believes that Minnesotans will continue to be subservient to his purile dictatorship, continue to put the Governor before putting food on the table for their children.

Still, business owners are afraid of him.  Walz has weaponized Keith Ellison against the little guy, the small business owner, not only with threats of fines and jail time, but with threats to their families, threats to put their children out on the streets. The businesses they go after are the smallest of the little guys. Ellison and Walz are like the big man who beats his girlfriend. They’re proud of themselves.

Is there anybody in Minnesota more wicked than these two men?

Recently the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in favor of Churches who were shut down, not because of Covid, but because there are states in this nation run by people who hate Christians. The majority wrote that no pandemic can suspend the constitution. The questions at the heart of the case rested on the right to free speech and the right to assemble.

In Minnesota, Walz and Ellison hate capitalist small business.

If it is unconstitutional to close Churches, the Supreme Court is well positioned to rule that it is unconstitutional to close businesses. In fact, at the very heart of the majority opinion was the opposite argument: if certain businesses can remain open, then why can’t the Churches remain open?

Now that the Supreme Court has ruled that the government cannot restrict the operation of a Church, no less a corporation than a small business, it is clear that any test case against Governor Walz at the US Supreme Court would be decided in the favor of small business.

After all, corporations also have individual liberties the same as individual people.

Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, freedom of speech, the right to assemble, and the right to earn a living (see life liberty and pursuit of happiness) are all enshrined in the Constitution of the United States.

All it takes is for a committed minority of small business owners to defy the orders of Governor Walz. It takes good Minnesota Citizens to back those small businesses by all means.

As for the Republican cowards in the legislature, if you love Minnesota and your fellow man, you would fight this governor with everything you have. You would put him on the national stage for the world to see his shame. You would fight as dirty as he does.  Only you’d be fighting for what’s right, for the little guy, the runts on the playground.  It isn’t lost on anyone that you don’t have skin in the game. You’re on the dole too, right along with Baby Huey. You have been weak, limp wristed, and have sold-out your constituents for your own comfort. You value your reputation more than the oppressed, more than our freedom.

This Christmas, every restaurant in Minnesota should stay open in defiance of Governor Walrus’ orders. Make a spectacle of it.  Make a spectacle out of the overgrown man-child at the State House.

Every state lawmaker should be at home in their districts eating in one of those restaurants.

You can tell Governor Walz is a well fed glutton. Enough is enough. It’s time for small businesses to say no. It’s time for small business owners to begin feeding their children and their employees again. There’s no reason their families should waste away while Governor Corpulence continues to collect a paycheck.

It’s time for Minnesotans to say enough is enough to Governor Walz’ Human Rights Abuses.

Will Myon Burrell be Set Free? The Evidence Says He Should Be, UPDATED

It is well known when a tragedy occurs such as in a senseless killing there is a rush to judgment because the public demands justice to be served.  The more heinous the crime the greater the demand is and that’s where corners are cut and a suspect is found even if one isn’t found with the figurative or literal “Smoking gun,” in their hands.  That’s where the case of Myron Burrell starts.

By the accounts in a USA Today article (by Robin McDowell published January 28, 2020), and other similar articles produced in early 2020 related to Senator Amy Klobuchar, Myon Burrell’s mom had to move her family away from the chaos of Murderapolis, aka Minneapolis as it is often called, to a relatively foreign place to live their lives, in Bemidji, Minnesota. Growing up there was different as most smaller towns in Minnesota are.

Myon’s mom decided to take her kids to see some friends in the old neighborhood, to catch up with them. While they were there, Myon decided to hang out with some friends at Cup Foods at 38th and Chicago. It is a neighborhood place to loiter. Like any store that’s been robbed in the neighborhood there are security cameras to help catch or identify the suspects or find witnesses.

Then tragedy struck on the 3400 block of Chicago, a young 11 year old girl who was doing her homework was killed with a stray bullet fired from somewhere. Tyesha Edwards’ promising life was extinguished through no fault of her own. What a tragedy!

A bullet hole went through this drain pipe the house wall to wound Tyesha Edwards.

Well there was a great uproar in Minneapolis among the neighborhood and also around the state.  Justice had to be served.  Problem was who was to blame. It was surmised by the Minneapolis Police and others as this was a stray bullet in a “drive-by” shooting.

On the information of a paid informant the Minneapolis Police Department was directed to Myon Burrell. The informant was according to the USA Today article a rival to Myon.  The Police picked up Myon and put him in jail. This was the last time he was ever free.

Myon Burrell who has spent more than half of his life in prison for a crime he did not commit. On the evidence and by a confession of the real shooter, Ike Tyson, he should go free.

The Police and the Hennepin County Attorney’s office did not check out Myon’s alibi, they did not check the security camera footage at Cup Foods, they went on the informant’s information. No alibi check, no attorney present during questioning of a minor, and no weapon found would be the basis of releasng the suspect right? No he was a perfect scapegoat to show the public the County Attorney was tough on crime.  That’s how Myon Burrell was set up.  He was tried as an adult and sentenced to life in prison at the age of 16.

Since then another trial was set up when County Attorney Amy Klobuchar was the MN US Senator and the Hennepin County Attorney for Life Mike Freeman was and Myon Burrell’s hopes of getting out of prison were dashed.

Every time Senator Klobuchar was running for re-election this case would pop up. Most recently when she was running for the Democratic Nomination to be the President of the United States.  The flurry of TV and print News agencies posted articles before the Iowa Caucus.  The Associated Press had a video that is an eye-opener into this case. It shows the questioning of Myon without an attorney. It is very unusual a minor would not be paired up with an attorney for questioning.

The video also shows Ike Tyson admitting to the crime. He and a friend Hans Williams tried to scare a member of the Gangster Disciples, Tyson firing his weapon at him, purposely missing him, message delivered however he didn’t know one of his bullets had killed Tyesha Edwards.

One note on the question of gun safety, if Mr Tyson were using non-range ammunition, such as hollow points, the bullets wouldn’t have penetrated the wall to wound and kill Tyesha. It’s a minor point but it must be stated.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman has put forth a proposal to cut the 50 year sentence by 15 years.

At the time of this writing I, Publius Jr, am listening to Myon Burrell plead his case to Governor Walz, and Attorney General Keith Ellison and the MN Pardon Board. I pray he is set free.

UPDATE:

The MN Pardon Board has commuted Myon Burrell’s sentence  from Life to 20 years and his remaining time which he has served 18 years to be on supervised release.  He can go home today. Unfortunately his mom passed away within the first year he was convicted.

There was ample evidence and an unwillingness to hold Senator Amy Klobuchar and Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman in their negligence of their conviction of Myon Burrell. I, Publius Jr, think the President of the United States Donald Trump should look into why Myon Burrell was convicted in the first place.

The Smoking Gun: Sidney Powell Explains the Crime of the Century

Sidney Powell a member of President Trump’s Legal Team, General Michael Flynn’s attorney, Federal Prosecutor, best selling author, and a prominent appellate attorney explains the Crime of the Century.

It has to do with the Dominion voting machines and the software used that has helped decide elections for “interested parties” wishing to win despite actual results. The Smoking gun is from a first hand witness to the voter fraud of the Smartmatic software that would change the vote of a voter without it being tracked to a specific voter even if the voter used a thumbprint to indicate who they are.

The witness saw this in the Venezuelan Election of Hugo Chavez in 2006, and again in 2013. The witness said they were in a room with readouts of real time data showing the results. The candidate’s team could change the vote in areas when they seemed to be losing.

The Smartmatic Chairman is Admiral Peter Neffenger who is on the Transition Team for Joe Biden. Neffenger is a former US Coast Guard Commander who served under President Obama as the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) from July 2015 to January 20, 2017 the day when President Trump was inaugurated.

Sidney Powell said the CIA had to know about this voting system as it is run by Cuban, Venezuelan and Communist money.  It has been used to change Elections all over the world. She said that the voting systems were tied together via the internet and in the case of the Venezuelan elections when one side was losing they shutdown the internet so they could adjust the software to change the outcome. It took roughly 2 hours to accomplish this task.

Lou Dobbs says the FBI is investigating this election.

I, Publius Jr, was on the Ramsey County Elections Absentee Ballot (AB) Board and witnessed the crash of the SVRS (State Voter Registration System) and the inability of Election workers to process Absentee Ballots on October 31st, Halloween. I had to vote by AB that day, my vote plus 317 Votes cast via AB that day at 90 Plato Blvd Saint Paul MN instead of the Direct Balloting where you feed your ballot into the reader, were misplaced until found at the Canvassing recently.

Was the SVRS crash related to the Smartmatic ability to shutdown a system? No one knows at this time or if it was a separate unrelated incident, though it seemed fishy as it was within 24 hours of the 8th Circuit Appeals Court ruling on AB cutoff.

There was a video posted on Twitter showing how votes were taken from MN voters who cast their ballots for 3rd party candidates and added to the Biden totals for the state. Does this affect other races too such as the Jason Lewis campaign? I will try to find the video and post it here.

John Thompson vs Coach John Thompson

Obituaries can tell someone a lot about the impact of a person’s life. The impact may have been to an individual, to many people, to an industry, to science, to religion, or those relatives left behind.

Reading the obituary of legendary Georgetown Hoyas Basketball Coach John Thompson is quite enlightening in contrast to someone by the same name in MN House District 67A who made the news in August 2020 for terrorizing a town called Hugo Minnesota.

Both men have similar causes to help out Black Men & Women, but their approach is starkly different from one another.

John Robert Thompson Jr was born on September 2, 1941 and passed away on August 30th, 2020. His bio is quite extensive so here’s some highlights:

  • Played Basketball for the Providence College Friars
  • Earned Honorable Mention All-American Honors in 1964
  • Played 3 seasons in the NBA for the Boston Celtics both were Championship Seasons from 1964-67, back up to Bill Russell
  • Became a High School Coach in his hometown of Washington DC, after being picked in an expansion draft by the Chicago Bulls, he retired not wanting to relocate to Chicago
  • Went on to Coach the Georgetown Hoyas Basketball Team for 27 years.
  • In his 3rd season with Georgetown his team qualified for the NCAA Tournament the first time for Georgetown since 1943
  • In 1984 with the help of one of his star players Patrick Ewing Thompson won the NCAA Basketball Tournament, the First Black Coach ever to do so.
  • His players read like a who’s who of the NBA: Patrick Ewing, Dikembe Mutombo, Allen Iverson, Sleepy Floyd, Alonzo Mourning,
  • Assistant Head Coach for the US National Team which won a Gold Medal in the 1976 Olympics, and later was the Head Coach of the 1988 Team earning the Bronze Medal
  • After resigning from his Coaching Duties in January 1999, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
  • Had a Radio show after he retired
  • Was a Presidential Consultant for urban affairs at Georgetown
  • Was a lifelong Catholic
  • Helped disadvantaged students both white and black

Not only did he lead young Black Men to success on the basketball court but he gave them the ability to lead others, to look beyond their days on the court. He even protected them from a drug lord named Ray Edmond. He had a sit down with Edmund. Edmund’s gang had been involved in 40 homicides in DC. Coach Thompson rose up to his 6’10” frame and proceeded to tell off the drug lord. Edmund never bothered his players again.

He was a leader who fought and worked hard to win a lot of awards and accolades, though seeing his players succeed off the court was probably more enjoyable.

What did he do to gain notoriety?

Nothing

…but terrorize State Legislators with threats and went to Hugo MN to terrorize a neighborhood.

Update: Now he was voted in with 70+ % of the vote.

Update: His eligibility to be a State Representative is questionable because he renewed a Wisconsin Drivers License in November 2020–he has maintained the license for 18 years. What other surprises has he not revealed?

My Faith Votes Conversation with Jim Caviezel

The following video was sent by the organization My Faith Votes in their newsletter on September 18, 2020. It was mainly to talk with the actor Jim Caviezel about his upcoming movie called Infidel. Megan West of My Faith Votes asks him about the upcoming elections. Jim talks about it from a Christian Perspective, what we stand to lose if Secularism wins. He says Donald Trump doesn’t need to be President if it’s all about money to him, but it was something Trump needed to do to set this country right.

Jim Caviezel played Jesus Christ in the Mel Gibson film called the Passion of the Christ. He was a serious Christian before that movie and had problems trying to live his faith and traverse the secular humanism of the Movie Industry.

The video runs over 46 minutes, it is worth every second of it. Later in the conversation he gives the Ronald Reagan speech, “Rendevous with Destiny,” (39:50).  He said he was asked to portray Ronald Reagan by a friend (38:22) and he said in the climate of Hollywood today it just couldn’t get made

We’ll see.

Infidel is playing in over 2000 theaters across the country, it was backed by Dinesh D’Souza and his wife. It follows what is happening to Christians who stand on their faith in the Middle Eastern countries dominated by islam. His character gets tortured for his faith.

In the opening few minutes of the My Faith Votes Video, Jim Caviezel mentions working with the director of Infidel, Cyrus Nowrasteh, in a movie called The Stoning of Soraya M. You can find it on Amazon.
